A treatment may now be in reach

Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is a fatal brain condition with about 100 new cases in the UK every year. There is currently no cure but every day scientists and doctors are getting closer to finding a treatment. The Cure CJD Campaign aims to raise funds for the first use of an antibody drug developed for the treatment of patients with CJD.

The campaign has been organised by a group of individuals, personally affected by the disease, to support the work of researchers and doctors at the MRC Prion Unit and NHS National Prion Clinic at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) NHS Foundation Trust. The campaign fund is part of, and administered by, the UCLH charity (Reg No. 1165398).
